*Lake County Art League Members Exhibiting "On the Wall" this Month*
**
The father-son artist team of Ted Foss of Antioch and Doug
Foss of
Wauconda
are exhibiting fine-art photographs at the Lake Villa District
Library, 1001
E. Grand Avenue, in Lindenhurst. Photographs on display include
floral studies and breathtaking landscapes.
Chris Tanner, a Libertyville engineer, has seven watercolor
paintings on display at the Viking Park Community Center at 4374 Old Grand
Avenue, in Gurnee. His mostly Midwest landscapes are painted in a spontaneous
and engaging plein air style that picks up a lot of the fun of painting on-the-spot.
Tanner is part of a group sponsored by Lake County Art League
that holds plein air sessions at interesting locations every few weeks throughout
the year.
Sessions include no instruction, but they are free
and open to all levels of expertise in all media, including
photography.
Anyone can receive plein air session notifications by calling
847-367-5308.
Waukegan native Mary Neely's fine-art nature and natural-abstract
photographs may be seen in the reception area of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court and the jury waiting room in the Lake County Court House, Waukegan,
Illinois. She, along with artist Yvonne Pitts of
Park City, also is participating in the Art Windows Exhibit in downtown Waukegan,
which places artwork in storefronts on Genesee Street.
The Lake County Art League is committed to furthering interest
in
the arts.
